These six commitments govern how JCS practitioners engage AI in your work. They apply to every deliverable, every consultant, every engagement — not just the ones where we discuss AI explicitly.
AI is part of how our team works. Here's where it shows up across a typical engagement, and the diligence we apply at each step.
Concrete commitments — not aspirational principles. These are the rules JCS practitioners follow on every engagement, every day.
If we don't tell you the limits, we're selling magic instead of consulting. AI is powerful — and it's also wrong about things, sometimes confidently.
AI models can hallucinate. They can fabricate citations. They can miscount, misattribute, and produce wrong answers in clean, confident prose. They reflect biases in their training data. They do not know events after their training cutoff. They cannot verify their own outputs. They can be steered into errors by adversarial inputs.
JCS treats every AI output as a starting point requiring human verification — not as ground truth. We do not claim that AI replaces human consultants. We claim that AI lets human consultants do more, faster, with better-supported reasoning. Clients who expect anything else will hear that reality from us early in the engagement.
You decide how AI shows up in your engagement. These rights are standing — invokable at any point, no questions asked.
You may request a no-AI engagement at any time. We adjust pricing and timeline accordingly and document the change in your SOW. Existing AI-assisted work product stays in your custody; we simply stop using AI tools going forward.
You may request, at no cost, a summary of how AI was used in your engagement — which tools, what data was processed, and what diligence was applied. We maintain this audit trail for the duration of your engagement plus three years.
Our current approved AI tool list — by category, by vendor, by enterprise tier — is available to you on request. If we add a new tool that will touch your engagement, you'll be notified before it enters your workflow.
Your MSA or SOW can impose any AI restrictions you need — specific tool prohibitions, geographic data residency requirements, additional disclosure obligations. Whatever you write down, we follow. Always.
